Objective To explore the relationship between the allele of HLA-DQA1,DQB1and polymorphic light eruption of the Han Nationality in Yunnan and confinn the HLA susceptibility or protective allele of PLE.Methods Classical phenol-chloroform method was applied to extract DNA from vein blood of110PLE patients and170Healthy controls, then PCR-SBT was used to examine the HLA-DQA1,DQB1allele in cases and controls. Results Compared with the control group, allele frequency of HLA-DQA1*0102, DQB1*0302and DQB1*0601(OR=3.000, Pc=0.0045; OR=7.485, Pc<10-3; OR=14.153, Pc<10-4) was significantly increased in PLE patients, while the frequency of DQB1*0201was significantly reduced in case group(OR=0.354, Pc=0.0280).Conclusions HLA-DQA1*0102, DQB1*0302and DQB1*0601may be the susceptibility genes or linkage disequilibrium with the real susceptible gene and HLA-DQB1*0201may be the protective gene of PLE of the Han Nationality in Yunnan.
