Sichuan Money Grass Quality Control Study

Herba Lysimachiae is the dry herb of Lysimachia christinae Hance, which has the actions to clear away heat, increase urine volume and secretory volume of cholaneresis, and cure cholelith and kidney stone. In the paper, based on experimental results, active constituents were found out and the quality criterion was established. By comparing Lysimachia christinae and Desmodium styracifolium, the qualitative and quantitative identifications were found out, offering more necessary material foundations for drugs to discharge of stones utilization.1. The development of Herba Lysimachiae was summed up, providing a reference for further research and development of Herba Lysimachiae.2. Seven compounds were isolated from Herba Lysimachie with polystyrene resin, silica gel, polyamide column and Sephadex LH-20 chromatography, and identified by physical-chemical methods and spectral analysis. They were kaempferol (1), kaempferol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(2), kaempferol-3-O-a-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1â†'6)-β-D- glucopyranoside(3), kaempferol-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-( 1â†'2)-β-D -glucopyranoside (4), quercetin(5),β-sitosterol (6), daucosterol(7). Compound 4 was obtained from this genus for the first time, and compound 7 was obtained from Lysimachia christinae for the first time.3. The effects of Herba Lysimachiae on diurese, choleretic, antiinflammation and analgesia were observed and studied by metabolize cage, choleretic experiment, Ear Swelling and pains in Writhing model.4. The quality control methods of Herba Lysimachiae were developed.(1) HPLC method was developed for quercetin and kaempferol, and the ranges of contents were established.(2) Colorimetry was used to determine the total flavonoids, and the limit range was established for the first time.(3) HPLC-FPS analysis of Herba Lysimachiae was done with UV detector apparatus for the first time. Based on the results of methodology, the HPLC-FPS were established. 5. By comparing the diversity between Desmodium styracifolium and Lysimachia christinae from different areas, the quality control and pharmaceutical activities were studied.
