With the development of globalization and China's entry to the WTO, the material life of the Chinese people has been greatly improved and the economic system has been successfully transformed. At the same time, various cultures and values continues to pour into China. The western modern civilization is not only material abundance, and our traditional culture of alien ideas.The youth born after the 1990s have grown up in the background of China's reformation and opening up policy, and entered the university. Their values, attitudes and other aspects of life are in the process of new changes. Today, English teaching is attached great importance in China. However, current English teaching value language knowledge and west culture input while ignoring educating the personality of students. College English teaching is conducted in the crucial period of students' cultural identity formation. Therefore, cultivating a solid cultural identity of post-90s' college Students in the process of English teaching is very important and crucial for the future of our country and nation.Previous literature has been thoroughly reviewed and carefully drawn upon, on basis of which this paper is to explore the cultivating of cultural identity of Post-90s'Students in College English teaching. A comprehensive investigation is undertaken to get the overall situation of the cultural identity of college students born after 1990s and their ability to present Chinese culture in English. From the investigation, it is found that the attitude of college students born after 1990s toward Chinese culture is positive, healthy and optimistic though still there are some unsatisfying points. And their ability to express Chinese culture in English still needs to be improved.Based on the survey results, this paper analyzes the reasons for the existence of the problems in College students' cultural identity and expressive ability of Chinese culture. Since culture is a two-way exchange, it is necessary to learn Western culture and understand our own culture. Therefore, in order to improve students' cross-cultural communication skills and strengthen their cultural identity, it is very important and urgent to conduct whole person education in College English teaching by penetrating Chinese culture while introducing Western culture through syllabus design, curriculum Building, textbook reformation and examination reformation, etc.
