| Over the history of Philosophy, Wang Fuzhi was a force to be reckoned with. much of his ideology which was unprecedentedly high and deep. Especially for his historical point of the integratation of Li and Shi", which was quite a comprehensive criticizing and self-examine of the preceding format of the conception of history, such as "vintage historical point of view" and "recycling historical concept". And in terms of the historica thought of" the integratation of Li and Shi", Wang Fu-zhi has his own narration. He believes that the historical development is a process of regular exercise and changes, which displayed by the mutually interaction of yin and yang in natural world; and "li" and "shi" was the specific represents of yin and yang in natural world as well. When the two muturally interact and derives everything in accord with natural order and logic, that would be "li"; while there was dynamic formation of quiet and move, which called "no-reverse smooth trend", that would be "shi". And both of the two parts are interdependent and mutually reinforcing. On one hand, it must in accord with that "to reflect the truth out of the inevitable potential"; on the other hand, "when capturing the potential and thus following the trend", so the two parts will ultimately combining into one, namely "Tian". Meanwhile, Wang Fuzhi inquired into the relationship between historical development reality and that of rationality:Wang Fuzhi thought that "shi", as the historical practical present, was in consist with "li", which was the symbol of the regularity of history. So on one side, only countinous presenting of the potential can capture the rationality; on the other side, only under the influence of rationality can form the trends. That were complementary and mutually united.One this basis, Wang Fuzhi probed into the laws of historical development and made necessary analyse. Wang felt that the main anchors of the historical development were the communication and unity between Heaven and humanity. In the philosophical point of view of Wang Fuzhi, the development trend of Heaven was not against the humanity presented as one-dimensional; On the contrary, Heaven is a great field that realizing the value of humanity so as to show its own existence, and under such a large scale, individuals went beyond their own shortcomings and limitations to go on a wider horizon of observation and thinking. Meanwhile, the horizon made subject, others, past, present and future being in good communication, which continued to improve the subject and eventually made its own historical existence. Therefore, they are complementary and mutually uniform. On the one hand, Heaven had its self-existence and its own laws of the development, and the fountainhead of humanitarian and its development must follow the laws of Heaven so that it can be expanded and achieved. On the other hand, humanity helped the Heaven to achieve its intent but also realizing the value and purpose of humanity, and ultimately the unity of the two.The analyzing of the conception of history by Wang Fuzhi was unique, which reached certain level that the forefathers ever yet made.This thesis attempts to probe into the historical point of view from the following aspects:establish basis with people, the logic basis of Wang Fuzhi's concept of history; the debate of the past and present"-the evolutionism of which the present is advanced than the past; the debate of the tangible and the invisible-a deep understanding of history; the debate of li and shi-the regularity of the historical unity of li and shi, and that of historical evolution, as well as their internal support anchor. And finally, the author gives certain objective evaluation and summary of the significance, as well as that of limitations of Wang Fuzhi's historical point of view-integration of li and shi. On the basis of the systematic analysing of Wang Fuzhi's historical point of view, this paper hopes to have a newer understanding of Wang Fuzhi's historical point. |
