This book used the waterways as the key link, documented history of the river changes, the natural situation, the military traffic, the customs and products, the historical events, and the changes in ethnic and religious in the place by the river .It's an unparalleled geographic encyclopedia. The book still reflects the level of development of the Middle Ages an important corpus of Chinese at the same time. The middle ancient times is the ancient Chinese grammar critical period of development, many source of modern Chinese grammar phenomena can be found in medieval literature ."ShuiJingZhu"is a comprehensive Geographic book, a lot of data was retent completely ,language is normal, it reflects the language of the Northern Wei Dynasty face of the Central Plains elegant language more fully. Location words will have to be traced back to Shang and Zhou dynasties, some basic location words appeared in oracle. The location word system reflects the characteristics that our ancestors cognitive space.
