Conceptual integration theory, also known as conceptual blending theory, proposed by Gilles Fauconnier and has been received extensive attention in recent years. Fauconnier, as the founder of the theory, made great contribution to the establishment and development of the conceptual blending theory system. The theory is an important theory which is about the meaning struction, and is self-contained in cognitive linguistics. The essence of the conceptual blending theory is two spaces selecting elements of the input space partially and then match onto the other space-a new integrated mental space, to emerge an innovative structure.Since 1870th, more and more domestic and foreign scholars of classical Chinese poetry pay attention to its English translation, and related works had been emerged constantly. Conceptual blending theory provides a new approach to translate Chinese poetry into English. Because of the similarities and differences of language and culture, translations of classical Chinese poetry are also due to the translator's personal understanding, knowledge and different experience. This thesis takes the approach of comparative analysis, discussing the explanation power of English translation of Classical Chinese Poetry under conceptual blending theory and the prospect reproduction, and analysis the loss of different English translations from the theory. From comparative analysis: English translation of Classical Chinese Poetry is the process of conceptual integration, any concept of discourse is the result of integration. In English translation, because both languages and cultures are quite different, if the original meaning is wanted to be remained, conceptual blending theory is of great significance.
