Tang Jiyao (1883~1927), also known as Rongchang, word Ming Geng, named himself The Owner Of East Mainland, comes from Huize. As an influential military comes from Yunnan province, he devoted himself to the country in the republic period of china. Protecting the country in both war and law enforcement campaign in 1910s. He is both good at being a military leader and making poems. His main poetry books, "East China master poems record "and "Tang Huize Manuscripts" is not only a reflection of his military career, but more show of his personality.At present, scholars who do research on Tang Jiyao mainly come from southwest of china, and they always focus on the historical research of the literature, like the relevant messages, letters, newspapers. Very few study about his poetries, in addition to his poetries for a few note, the basic work is out of the question. This article is based on the research status, try to collect and give exegesis to Tang Jiyao's poems.This paper is divided into two parts:the first part is in a tabular format, clearly showing a compressed account of Tang Jiyao's life and the poetries'background; the second part is giving exegesis to his poems. Writing this article strives some contribution for the Yunnan literature.
