From the perspective of exegesis, it deeply and detailedly describes Ren Yuan's Exegesis content, the use of Exegetical methods and the traits of Exegesis. What's more, this thesis also makes a comprehensive and objective assessment of the achievements and shortcomings summed up by Ren Yuan in his practice.This thesis is composed of five parts.The first part is an introduction, making a brief account of the significance of this subject. This part also states the materials and methods used in this thesis, clarifying the scope of this study.The second part mainly discusses the content of the exegesis of internal poetry anthology written by shangu. It involves poem interpretation, pronunciation indicating, correcting, explanations of the context, pointing out allusions.The third part mainly focuses on the various Exegetical methods employed by Ren Yuan in the practice of decoding the classics. Ren used various Exegetical methods. This thesis summarizes that his Exegetical methods mainly include the following seven: referring to other's exegesis materials, seeking meanings from sounds, directly interpreting the meaning, explaining the semantics by allusion, stating the meaning of sentences by ordering people and work on a time series, seeking poetry meaning by context, seeking Exegetical by Grammar, understanding the meaning of the poetry by moral principles, setting the poetry meaning by rhetoric and so on.Part Four states the exegesis traits of the exegesis of internal poetry anthology written by shangu. It expands the discussion from the following four aspects:explaining the proper nouns by emphasizing the encyclopedia words; exploring the author's intention by stating the contemporary character and events; seeking the connotation by telling the allusion; being rigorous, pragmatic and precise.Part Five of this thesis is the conclusion, which assesses the achievements and shortcomings of Ren Yuan's Exegesis. Major shortcomings include:some mistakes of explaining of words and phrases; improper work order; neglecting confirming while explaining things.
