Divination, combined with mystical Confucianist belief was banned repeatedly before the Qing Dynasty. Although some scholars in the Ming Dynasty devoted to recollecting them, the research had not achieved scale. After entering the Qing Dynasty, divination, as an unavoidable part of academic and ideological research of Han Dynasty, has become one of the objects that people in Qing Dynasty collect and research. And the official reference books Ancient Art of Open Letter has become the prelude of divination in Qing Dynasty, which has provided valuable document literature for the collection and research of divination afterwards. Textual Research on Confucian Classics Argumentation by Zhu Yizun was not the specifical divination literature, however, on the basis of it and the master copy Ancient Micro Book, Zhu Yizun collected a large prophecy literature data, which had an important literature reference value, and drew the curtain of divination research by individual scholars in the Qing Dynasty. Although Integration of Ancient and Modern Books, as the largest existing reference book, has few divinations in it, its editor made the great use of interpreting Chinese Classics, which become one of the guiding ideology of collecting and studying divination in Qing Dynasty. The collection of divination in the early Qing Dynasty has laid a good foundation for future generations to study divination, since not only the entry name and number is certain, but also its content of divination has a broad framework. Therefore, after mid-Qing Dynasty, on the basis of Ancient Micro Book by Sun Jue, there appeared works specially collecting divination literature, such as Weishu collected by Yin Yuanzheng and revised and enlarged by Lu Mingrui, Qiwei by Zhao Zaihan, Supplement of Qiwei by Gu Guanguang, Supplement of All Divinations by Liu Xuechong, Interpretation of Divinations by Qiao Songnian, etc.. And there were other collections of divination, such as the rare edition of Divination of The Book of Changes by Wu Yingdian, and so forth. As the important part of study of Confucian classics and thought in Han Dynasty, divination has naturally become the content that can not be ignored by the scholars in Qing Dynasty. With the increasing information of divination, scholars in Qing Dynasty have conducted a study on divination, which reflected in the academic notes in Qing Dynasty. The Formation and evolution of academic thinking in Qing Dynasty directly affects people's view of divination and the development, evolution and impact of divination during Qing Dynasty. The academic thinking of Qing Dynasty consists of early-Qing academic thinking, Qianjia academic thinking and late-Qing academic thinking, and people's points of view on divination and the development and evolution have different characteristics in various periods.Divination is somewhat superstitious, but it also has some documentary value. Although divination flourished in the Han Dynasty, it has a close relationship with ancient Chinese culture, from which it can be seen the evolution of ancient gods in divination, including the images of gods, the positions of gods and so on. From this some inferences on the evolution of ancient gods can be made. Besides, a lot of articles about ancient tradition of offering sacrifices to gods saved in the divination have ritual significance for the study of ancient sacrifice culture.
