Because of the rapid development of technology and the continuous renewal of related knowledge, school education should focus on training students "how to learn". It makes the study on learning strategies become an urgent matter.Since the 1970's, researchers and language teachers have shifted their focus on study from "how to teach" to "how to learn". They have found that learners'choice and application are affected by related factors.This thesis explores from the point of view of English learning environment which refers to learning conditions, teaching conditions and learning tasks. The findings indicate that it has remarkable influence on the choice and application of students'learning strategies. Other researchers have done similar investigations, which mainly focuse on the students in the public universities, this thesis focuses on the English majors in the independent college. Empirical study is the main approach of this thesis. Based on scientific analysis, the conclusion of the thesis is to be applied to practical teaching. |
