Translator's Subjectivity And Presentation In Cultural Turn

Translation is a very important means between different languages in cultural communication. Generally speaking the traditional translation research is based on a premise that the both sides shared the culture-equality. But the cultural communication always shows inequality. The privileged culture more often has a say. thus inevitably affects translation. Especially with the fast pace of culture globalization, the unbalance development due to politics, economy, etc, brings forth great cultural differentials and power differentials between the privileged culture and unprivileged culture. All of this finally results in the cultural hegemony.From the postcolonial angle we try to analyze translation under different circumstances and reveal the power struggle between the two cultures. And to make it clear that translation. ever as an important colonial tool, and translator.under the circumstance of globalization context, has active subjectivities and plays an important role in resisting the privileged culture implementing the cultural hegemony on unprivileged culture.While exposing the negative effect that the translation imposed on the cultural communication, we analyses the reasons as well and then realizes that translation itself is also an important tool against decolonization, and cultural hegemony. Therefore unprivileged culture on the background of this situation should try his best to find the translation tactics, try to establish translator's subjectivity to resist cultural hegemony so that can finally reach the goal of communicating equally.
