A Vocabulary Studay Of Nankang (Longhua) Hakka Dialect In The Perspective Of Language Contact

Hakka dialect is one of seven major Chinese dialects, for thousands of years, they follow the disipline of"better to sell ancestors'farmland, than to forget their language", inherit this collective memory which belongs to the hakka. However, in the context of economic globalization and cultural diversity, hakka dialect is suffering many impacts.This paper is a vocabulary studay of Nankang(Longhua) hakka dialect in the perspective of language contact, so as to keep track of the living and changing vocabulary. At first, form the vertical comparison between the old and new generations, the author explored the results of the evolution in Nankang(Longhua) hakka dialect. The conclusion is that Nankang(Longhua) hakka dialect continues to play a role of"the Living fossil of ancient Chinese". Besides, she also brings about many variation words and new words. Secondly, form the horizontil comparison with the common spoken Chinese and Cantonese, the author explored the causes of changes. The conclusion is that Nankang(Longhua) hakka dialect continues to borrow language components from the common spoken Chinese and Cantonese, the heterogeneity is growing step by step. Finally, from the perspective of language contact of Nankang(Longhua) hakka dialect's vocabulary evolution, the author explored the influence of language contact to Nankang(Longhua) hakka dialect's vocabulary evolution. And come to a conclusion that in the forces of , the heterogeneity of Nankang(Longhua) hakka dialect's vocabulary will be , its vocabulary will continuously be close to the common spoken Chinese .
