Transformation And Development Of The Current Literature: Crisis And Vitality

Literature has been transforming and developing since 1990, which has brought new meteorological to contemporary literary world, but also has appeared some new problems. These have caused discussions and debates from the literary and theorists. In general, these disputes are between literature"crisis theory"and literature"vitality theory"wrangling. First, the paper has roughly combed and summarized the discuss–sion situation about literature"crisis theory"(including literature"Final Conclusion", literature"Death Theory"etc) and literature"vitality theory"from literature circles in recent years. On the basis of the comb and overview, the paper has put more concentration on literature"crisis theory"; analyze and discuss it.Judging from the academic discussion, today's literary development has faced with certain aspects of crises that the crises are: the literature survival crisis, the crisis of literary circumstances, the literary form crisis and the literary spirit crisis. However, the roots causing these literature crises are more complex, which are mainly the negative effect to the literature from the market economy, the impact from the turning of the visualization and the mass consumption culture, the negative influence of postmodern cultural ideological trend and the metamorphosis of literature itself with lost. The crises appearing in the literature transition developing period also deserve reflecting further from human aspects: Essentially,"Literature is man-theory"; the literature"crisis"particularly about the literature spirit crisis, actually rooted in the problems of today's person's survival, existing in developing, which has reflected some one-sided of man's survival and development. It is necessary to care for the literature"crisis", then, we hope to overcome the literature"crisis". The purpose is that through the literature affects people; through the power of positive health literature promotes people to healthy and reasonable development.This paper argues that, from the historical and dialectical point of view, today's literary transformation facing to"crisis", this is not the wholeness and global crisis, but some aspects existing crisis. Although today's literary reality situation is complex, and the crises also do exist, we believe that literature will not "end" and not be"death", but as a challenge and opportunity, crisis and vitality; importantly, the literature how can beyond the"crisis"to seek"vitality". From the external conditions of today's literary development, there still exist favorable factors for the literary boom, such as the social public thirsting for the health literature, the promoting function of the literary development from the various social forces, etc. These are the social basis for the literature further prosperity development. On the other hand, of course, literature itself has to have the internal force which can overcome problems and realize self-surpass, including strengthening the subjectivity of literary creation, enhancing the sense of responsibility, the pursuit of literary spirit value, etc. We believe that the sound development of human society needs literature, and literature has its unique spiritual values. Today's literature can overcome the crisis; can achieve self-realization beyond, so as to obtain various possibilities and infinite vitality of the development.
