The Comparison Of Huang Sheng's Comments Of Du Fu's Poetry And Hong Fang's Comments On Du Fu's Regulated Verse

Hong Fang's Comments on Du Fu's regulated verse and Huang Sheng's Comments of Du Fu's Poems are two great works at the beginning of Qing dynasty.The two works were completed nearly at the same time,but Hong Fang's was a little earlier than Huang Sheng's.As Hong Fang and Huang Sheng used to discuss Du Fu's poetry,Comments of Du Fu's Poems was effected by Comments on Du Fu's regulated verse.The doctoral dissertation A Study on Huang Sheng and Comments of Du Fu's Poems written by Fan Weijun has discussed the relation between Comments of Du Fu's Poems and Comments on Du Fu's regulated verse in Chapter 5,which has shown the sameness of the two woeks and the differences between them. But Fan Weijun didn't discuss in detail as space is limited.This paper intend to chose Comments on Du Fu's regulated verse and Comments of Du Fu's Poems which have the similar style,and compare them,try to find the developping course of the two works.And then put them into the background of peotic theoriesn on Du Fu's poems at the beginning of Qing dynasty to find their significance.The introduction introduces briefly the research situation of two works and this paper's research frame.Chapter 1 discusses the relations between Comments on Du Fu's regulated verse and Comments of Du Fu's Poems.First introduces briefly the life of Hong Fang and Huang Sheng,then discusses their relations combining with Hong Lixing's Postscript and the friendship between Hong Fang and Huang Heng.Chapter 2 consists of two parts which in eyes of the writing purpose and the style of the two works.The first part intends to compare the writing purpose,the attitude on the comments of past ages.The second part intends to compare the choose of Du Fu's poems and the method of comments on Du's poems.Chapter 3 consists of two parts. The first part intends to compare the relation of emotion and scene in Du's poems and the deep meaning of Du's poems,in the view of artistic characteristic.The second part intends to compare the discussion of the writing method of Du' poems in the two works.Chapter 4 consists of two parts.The first part intends to compare their attitude on some disputed issues,such as how to think about the statement that Du's poems have reflected the history of Tang dynasty,and whether Du's poems had a hit at the Emperor.The second part intends to discuss the differences of their understanding of some poems.The conclusion intends to summarize the whole paper firstly,then put the two works into the begning of Qing dynasty to compare them and tries to find their significances.
