Inhibition of return (IOR) is a attention phenomenon which is found in the field of selective attention in the space. It is a phenomenon of the target's response become slower in the position when the attention was shifted from the cued spatial location. The capacity of IOR indicates that the most number of IOR could be found in the cued location by the target. IOR exists not only among the adult subject, but also exists in children. Existing research suggests that IOR play an important role on improving the efficiency of human attention. The capacity of IOR is reasonable to expect IOR appear at multiple cued locations the human could pay attention to in the premise of searching the target in effect and reflects the complexity of the human being could deal with the searching environment effectively. In the current study, we using 5×5×2 within the group experimental design to test the attention of children's capacity of IOR in different conditions of limited resources. By comparing the capacity of IOR of the children in different grade to describe general trend of the development. We using a random number of Arab and graphic material as a distracting resources to explore the affects on the capacity of IOR by restricting attention resources in semantic channel and space channel. The result of experimental 1 A and experimental 1 B shows that the semantic attention capacity limits does not damage the capacity of IOR. The result of experimental 2 A and experimental 2 B shows that the space attention capacity limits damaged the capacity of IOR in different degrees. After complee the inspection task, the space attention capacity limits only damaged the capacity of IOR on grade one. When the level of resource constraints is less than 3, the capacity of IOR is 5; When the level is more than 3, the capacity of IOR reduces to 1. After complete the discrimination task, the grade one's capacity of IOR is 3 when the level is 0; when the level is more than 0, the capacity of IOR is 1. The grade three and grade five's capacity of IOR is 4 when the level is less than 3; when the level is more than or equal to 3, the capacity of IOR is 1. The above results also found that there exists critical period in the capacity of IOR development and the critical period become much earlier.
