The relation between heaven and man is the basic question in Yue Ling of the Book of Rites. The harmony between heaven and man is the core of the article that means if you want to do great things, not going against rules, must follow seasons and changes, while do not change the laws of heaven and earth, and do not mess people's norms. It not only describes each of the twelve months of sky, phenology, and make the natural order and human society closer together, at the same time, it records Fiesta, decrees, injunctions and related matters. It can be said that the whole theory of Yue Ling is established based on the theory in heaven and man.The concept of heaven and man in Chinese philosophy are deepening and expanding both in terms of connotation and extension with the level of human understanding and thinking capacity. Heaven in Yue Ling has double meaning:nature and god; the man refers to a thinking, active, conscious beings; at the same time, man is a social existence, on the one hand reflecting in the strict hierarchy of social differences in the lives of man, on the other embodying in man of moral ration factors. Coordination of man and heaven is the basic idea and concept of the theory of heaven and man in Yue Ling. This is reflected in the followings:First, the operation of sky is regular that human can only follow instead of violating it; second, four seasons and five elements showed by heaven are closely related with man's production and life; third, man lives in the earth and protected by heaven; fourth, man will be punished if he against heaven.The relation between heaven and man in Yue Ling is the long-term accumulation of human, not only guiding man's daily lives, but also affecting how thinking about the heaven and man by later thinkers. You Guan (On handing government affairs according to the thoughts of the five main elements) and the Four Seasons and so on in Guan Zi, and the Twelve Records in Lu's commentaries of History, also with Dong Zhongshu's thought of heaven and man are all affected by the thought of heaven and man in Yue Ling. Meanwhile, the article has some comments to resolve conflicts of man and nature in modern society. It points out, the thought of harmony between heaven and man provides a successful experience. This paper tries to do some preliminary study on the theory of heaven and man on the basis of absorbing research results, in order to deepen understanding of thinking in Yue Ling.
