From Ren And Translation Of Literary Creation And Impact

At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, a splendid change took place in every social domains, a new literature gained gradually the literary circle with the detriment of traditional literature's decline. The translated literature, as a particular literary form, played an eminent role in the emergence, the growth and the maturity of China's new literature. The importation process of the translated literature depends on a macro-factor: the target society's concrete request which involves the operation of translation. In continuation, operation of translation is concretized only by work of the individuals (the microphone-factor): that means such or such translator, become aware of the social request, carries out the operation of translation and reveals a literature translated to satisfy this request in the target society where writers would apply what they had assimilated in their new literary creation, this one agrees with the cultural request and the new literary esthetics of the target society and represents the orientation that the new literature will take.The present paper is composed of three chapters. The introduction is based on the theory of the The Manipulation School and it aims to ensure the feasibility of the subject and the technique of research, to present the definition of the translated literature, to introduce the three problematics of this paper: Why the operation can take place? How is it carried out the operation? Which are the influences of the translated literature? The first chapter which is centered on the first problematic, analyzes the two factors of the target society and the translation operation. The second chapter is centering on'Which the influences of the translated literature?'and it discusses the problems in the mediums of translation at the time of Zeng Pu, the texts which he chooses to translate and the literary language which he uses to carry out the translation. The third chapter is based on the last problemetic : we will analyze contribution of the translated literature and how much the translated literature influence Zeng Pu's literary creation and find out the relation between translated literature and literary creation in target society.Born in 1872, died in 1935, Zeng Pu lived well at the time of this social change. He is not only a writer but also a translator who has a perfect command of the French language and he devotes itself actively to the introduction of the French literature, its literary career clearly reflects the process of translated literature's creation and influence. This paper consists in studying this process through the literary operation and the influence of Zeng Pu's translated literature at end to reveal how the translated literature to influence the target society's literature.
