Bela Bartok,Hungarian composer, pianist, music educator and folklore expert. He is one of the most influential western composers during the first half of twentieth century, and also one of the founders of ethnomusicology. The piano suite Out of Doors, which is the representative works when Bartok personal style was getting mature, contains five different style melodies ---"With Drums and Pipes","Barcarolla","Musettes","The Night's Music", and"The Chase". He perfectly combined Hungarian national music features in his composing, and gradually created a periodical piano style on traditional foundation. This paper comprises of four parts. The first part is to summaries Bartok and his work Out of Doors briefly, introduces the development of Hungarian national music culture and Bartok's influence. In the second part, we will discuss Out of Doors'characteristic which includes musical structure, harmonic, rhythm, etc. In the third part, we will find out the various style of this piano cento for example'percussive, recitative, colorful',and Bartok style piano texture, which is also the core part of this paper. Meanwhile, the writer talk about the inspiration obtained from Bartok'piano works from'understanding'and'realizing', combining with document literature and my own learning experience.
