Human began to explore the way to Self-cultivate early. Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoism have the greatest effect in so much Self-cultivation Theory. The Self-cultivation theory of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoism are is extremely rich, they have different advantages. I do In-depth analysis and systematic grasp with the principles of criticism and inheritance on The Self-cultivation theory of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoism. The paper is divided into four parts:The first part:This part discusses the self-cultivation theory of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoism based on the noumenon and human nature. The "benevolence" is Pre-Qin Confucian's noumenon. It constraints moral and behavior with the "benevolence", emphasizes the ethics thought.Confucius believes that human nature is almost similar, However, as a result of the role of various external factors and the different personal effort, among the people have great differences. So Confucius emphasizes the Significance of education and the self cultivation. Mencius inherited the concept of benevolence, proposed a theory that the human nature is good. The nature is Pre-Qin Taoist noumenon. It advocates to beyond the things, and retains the nature of life. Lao-tzu and Chuangcius as the Representative of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoism, some of their writings show the innovative theory of the human nature. Overall, the Taoist theory of human nature is a naturalistic theory, so that its cultivation can be regarded as "following the nature".The second part:This chapter discusses the way of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoism. Pre-Qin Confucian believes that the highest state of moral cultivation is "benevolence", so Pre-Qin Confucian advocates "Benevolence and righteousness", to deny self and observe the proprieties in social practice. The nature is Pre-Qin Taoist noumenon. So the nature of human is natural. He advocates to constraint the nature of human andretains the nature of life. In the acquisitiveness, Pre-Qin Confucian advocates to retain the "benevolence" and have few desires.In accordance with the "benevolence" to reflect itself, not to be deceived by the external material things. Lao-tzu also believes that too much desire will harm people's physical and mental training, Lao-tzu advocates having few desires. Chuangcius inherits Taoist concept. He advocates no desire completely. In addition, Confucius advocates to learning and thinking about the cultivation methods. But Lao-tzu thinks that the learning would disrupt one's inner calm, so people should maintain the peace of mind.The third part:This chapter discusses the purpose and accomplishment of Self-cultivation Theory of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoism. Pre-Qin Confucian aims to cultivate the people who have virtues and have Political Thought for running the country, via pursuing the perfection and be content with poverty. Pre-Qin Taoism pursuits the state that human Consistent with the nature, and the real freedom.It focuses on preserving the life, and the ideal personal form is "God".The fourth part:This chapter indicates the self-cultivation theory of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoism have their positive Significance, understand scientifically and inherit Critically the self-cultivation theory of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoism,that has far-reaching practical significance for overcoming material desires expand in market economy conditions establishing a correct outlook on life, values, and promoting socialist harmonious society.
