The idea of vacant space has become an artistic theory with a sense of space. It doesn't mean that the painter hasn't finished the painting, but to deliberately leave room for the readers'own thinking. The vacant space is not only"emptiness", but also a sense of"tension". The tension and harmony construct the painting and its essence. In such an era of information explosion flooded with poor art, people's power of discrimination and feeling of viewing have been weakened."Rapid change"has replaced the"eternal beauty"and concealed the traditional aesthetics which put the idea above the art. Once the ancient fixed order of hierarchy has been broken, where should we go to feel, to discriminate and to explore? Is it should be rationality? Subjectivity? Or passion? Apart from direct and intense visual impact and weird and original modern art, there are also art with sincere emotion. We are quite familiar with Paul Cézanne's paintings. Obsessed in the immediate and practical contemporary art, people tend to forget the real fact.Nowadays, our demand for sense of sight is broader than the mission of traditional painting. With the development of sense of sight and the advancement of philosophical knowledge, the idea of"Wu"and"Qi"in traditional Chinese spirit was added to the system. Drawing is neither to record or to imitate, nor for the pursuit of visual stimulation, but to truly represent and to intuitively view. In this sense, mankind returns to himself, to the harmony of heaven and earth.
