On The Real Space And Psychological Space In Dance Works

This paper studies “the real space and mental space in dancing works”. Based on the example of the dancing work “Stranger”, it introduces the composition of the real space and mental space to demonstrate their importance in the dancing works. In dancing works, both real space and mental space are dancing space. Dancing behaviors construct real space and mental space. That is to say, real behaviors act on real space, while mental behaviors act on mental space. Real space manifests through the filling of behavioral scheduling. Real space bears characters’ behaviors and it is a real state of dancing space. Mental space is the important constitution of dancing space. In dancing space, it manifests through the filling of mental scheduling. It bears characters’ inner experience and it is a mental state of dancing space. Constructing accurate real space and mental space in dancing could better shape the characters’ images, promote narrative and better express the characters’ inner feelings so as to make the works more appealing.
