| The traditional music San Jo was born in the end of 19 centry, it is well in required beauty of form in the existence traditional musics. Also we can s ay it was produed by the most complicated crafting skills as well as it was f ormed in the most professional solo-instrumental music. By the news, Sarn J oh first started from performances of Kayakum, and it has a highest formalize d structure in the all of Kayakum musics. Because of the musical styles con stant development as San Jo, it drove and helped many compositions to found their feet in the lager areas.In this paper, stand on the technique of composition side, revolved aroun d composition principle, mainly focused on identify characteristic of compositi on technique. Through study on Gang Tae Hong flows Kayakum-San Jo, ide ntified characteristics such as divide passage of measure,characteristic of mel ody hythm characteristics of its change for mode and tonality,the thought c haracteristic of polyphony on the melody, and found out a creative and unique personal character of Gang Tae Hong flows only had. Based on the these an alysis and research, identified Gang Tae Hong flows'composition characteristic and style character, analyzed deeply and minutely about Gang Tae Hong flo ws Kayakum-San Jo's composition characteristic, which was just only used th e melody.The introduction of the first chapter were described this paper's backgrou nd of research,the purpose and significance,the research Items and its metho d. The second chapter were described San Jo music context and the type of San Jo-music's devolopment,the life of Gang Tae Hong,and summary of his work, and outlined San Jomusic's development history. In the third chpter, di vided 5 parts and analyzed. The first, described apply characteristics of expres sion method for the subject data in the each movement, and shows developme nt and progress of the melody. The second, divided its stucture of music cont exts which was formed by change of tonal system, and shows San Jo's chara cteristic of structure. The third. from the basics beat which were used in the each music contexts, and described characteristic of the melody rhythm. The f ourth shows the characteristics of tonality and mode, which caused on change of tonal system, namely center-tone. The fifth, study on divide of measure,c ombine of Long-Drum accompaniment and melody progress, shows characterist ic of San Jo's appreciating polyphony music.This paper attach great importance to shows the characteristic of wester n composition and the other traditional composition technique,and San Jo's n ationality characteristic, and shows only used melody of San Jo music's style and characteristics of traditional folk music, and aimed at drove composers to deeply feeling importance of melody pogress.
