Being based on the Confucianism which was established in the pre-Qin dynasties and taking in different schools of thoughts at that time, Dong zhongshu constructed a philosophical system of which the gist is something about"heaven". He explains man's personality and behavior through the ontology of"Yin-Yang"and"Five-element", and then he furtherly illustrated the governance philosophy and ethics.To begin with, this paper explores the background and connotation of the thought of"Telepathy between heaven and man", latterly it illustrates Dong Zhongshu's philosophical systems such as the theory of human nature, the theory of dynastic rule, the theory of moral governance and the theory of keeping neutral, and then it expounds the significant influence of the thought of"Telepathy between heaven and man"on today's social development.The thesis falls into three parts:The first part is introduction. It mainly introduces the reason for choosing the subject, the research significance, the literature review, the research method, the main content and the innovative points.The second part is the body. Of which the first chapter states the background of Dong Zhongshu's thought of"Telepathy between heaven and man"; while the second chapter illustrates the connotation of the thought; then the third chapter examines its application; finally, the fourth chapter analyzes the significance and limitation of the thought of "Telepathy between heaven and man".The third part is the conclusion of the research.
