Minnan Culture In Fujian And Taiwan Cultural Exchange Studies

The Taiwanese culture which is a wonderful work of the traditional Chinese culture enjoys a unique position in the cultural exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan. This article firstly summarized the important role that Taiwanese culture played in the cultural exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan, and then concluded the shortages Taiwanese culture played in the current cultural exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan. Based on these, this article suggested using the Taiwanese culture as the carrier to enhance the cultural exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan.This article was divided into four parts. In the first part and second part, the author firstly reviewed the content, structure and characteristics of the Taiwanese culture, and then showed the impact that the Taiwanese culture played on Taiwan by introducing the Taiwanese culture's migration and development in Taiwan. Finally, the author showed the common characteristics between the Taiwanese culture and the culture of Taiwan----the same root, text and homogeneity which are important in the cultural exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan. Therefore, the first two parts of the paper mainly laid the foundation for the study on how to use the Taiwanese culture as the carrier to enhance the cultural exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan. In the third part, the author reviewed the Taiwanese culture played in the cultural exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan and then analysis the shortages of the Taiwanese culture during the cultural exchanging between Fujian and Taiwan----lacking of the long-term working mechanism, lacking of the effective mechanisms for protection on traditional things, lacking of the sound operational mechanism and lacking of the uniform mechanisms for resource integration etc. In the fourth part, the author combined the situation and experience of the basic research on the cultural exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan and its inadequacies with the new requirements of the West Coast Economic Zone and tried to think from the connections of the exchanges between the government, the Non-governmental organizations and the people. Based on this, the author finally tried to propose the suggestions and strategies on how to use the Taiwanese culture as the carrier to enhance the cultural exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan by; this chapter is the focus and the most difficult part of this paper.
