As the gem of human civilization and the code of national cultural inheritance, the Intangible cultural heritage mainly takes folk cultures as the circulation form, including folk art, folk skill, acrobatics and athletics as well as astronomy, geography, medicine and religion, mostly of which are passed on through oral transmission. The intangible cultural heritage started later and was much easier to be endangered compared with the concerns and protection of tangible cultural heritage. Due to the long cultural history of China, intangible cultural heritage has been diversified, which made the protection and salvage task more arduous. Therefore, it becomes more valuable to correctly recognize the intangible cultural heritage, to know the reasons of its endangerment and to discuss the related ways of salvage and protection.Taking the skill art-one kind of intangible cultural heritage for example, the paper firstly clarified the hot issues among current scholar research and defined the concept and categories of intangible cultural heritage through summarizing the studies at home and abroad. Through combining quantification and qualification analysis, the paper pointed out the factors leading to the endangerment of intangible cultural heritage and listed them in to different kinds, providing a basis of introducing the advantages skilling arts own as one kind of intangible cultural heritage own during the development course of tourism. The paper suggested adopting such four development modes as large-scale landscape skilling, event tourism relying on various folk customs, participation-kind folk village and regular performance in scenery spots, probing deeply into the functions of tourism development on activating skilling-arts kind of intangible cultural heritage.In the discussion course, the paper comprehensively adopting the relative theories on sustainable development of tourism, heritage protection and development, and analyzed in the way of combining evidence and theory as well as quantification and qualification.
