Father is a typical figure of Chinese literature, with a special cultural indication in both literary works and people's minds. In feudal society, it was endowed with a atmosphere of authority what including the meaning of autocracy and dictatorship. Ever at the present age, the image of father always appears as an obstinate character who is heavily burdende, standing for the country. Futhermore, it is now with a such an significance on showing the relationship of father and son in Taiwan movies for its special political, historical and literary background. It, on one hand, has inherited the unique, delicate relationship connecting the motherland and Taiwan, and is also converting itself as the time goes on at the other hand. The point of my paper is expounding the visualization of the fathers in Taiwan movies, in order to extend the discussion of analysising the evolution of the father-right-society of Taiwan, the relationship between the families and the counety, as well as the sexual denotation of father out of the contemporary society.
