At present, China is in the period of accelerated social transition. Rural society is not only affected by external social environmental impact and also appeared internal structural fission. There has been class differentiation. Interpersonal relations, moral ethics and values have also been influenced. In addition, there have been many rural social original problems. Therefore, Chinese farmers in social transition urgently need a calm and happy spiritual home. Meanwhile, Christian that has been fused together with Chinese traditional culture attracted a portion of them with its unique glamour, thus folk beliefs sprung up gradually. I'm not a Christian, and this paper is not a work that intends to propagate Christian, but also it is not blindly to criticize it. I just selected a village and use the method of field survey to research the phenomenon that the farmers participated in Christian activities. On the one hand, I hope people to consider Christian faith correctly. On the other hand, I hope people to think that in the background of the socialist harmonious society and new rural construction, how our government should do to compete with Christian equally, how to build a stable bridge between farmers'mind and the rural society and how to guide Christian faith to serve the socialist harmonious society and new rural construction.I went on an one-week investigation with the method of field survey in Village C. During the investigation, I collected date with several methods, such as documents, interviews, questionnaires and observation. I made interviews with 30 farmers that had taken part in the Christian activities and finished 71 questionnaires. As a unique research, this paper can be divided into the following five aspects. Firstly, it is an introduction of the spread of Christianity in Village C and the main contents and features of farmers'Christian activities. Secondly, in the background of social transition, I analyzed the macro social reasons, the middle-level family reasons and the micro personal reasons for why farmers took part in the Christian activities. Thirdly, I gave the readers a brief idea of the main ways that farmers took part in the Christian activities in rural society. Fourthly, I gave the readers an analysis of the positive and negative influences of those activities on both individuals and the society. Finally, I posed three questions, and thought over the questions of how to compete with the Christian, how to actively undertake the material and cultural needs of the farmers and how to construct a social environment that will be benefit to the life and the growth of modern farmers.
