Suggestion writings are Zhangzou which were submitted to the king by the courtiers. This type of writings boomed in Tang Dynasty, along with the mature of the Criticism System in China. With the consideration of social environment, psychological analysis of the imperial and courtiers, this paper summarizes the stylistic characteristics of the Suggestion writings in Tang Dynasty, including contents classification, writers psychological status, persuasion skills and inspiration to modern secretarial works.Introduction part discusses the reason why this top has been studied, the most resent research referred to it, the meaning of Jian and the origin and development of Suggestion writings up to Tang Dynasty. Chapter 1 has sorted out 279 pieces of Suggestion writings in Tang Dynasty, found three common-used types of styles, divided the writings into seven types according to the contents, summarized characteristics of the references and examples.The second chapter is about the writers. The writers of Suggestion writings were courtiers, mainly the Suggestion officials, in addition to other civilian officials, generals and royalties. They played a leading role in the writing progress. Suggestion writings in Tang Dynasty reflected the evaluation standards which the courtiers used to judge the imperial, and changed with the different criteria settled by the imperial. Because of this, the standards showed the early, mid and late periods of changes. The psychological status of the courtiers had been influenced by the social environment and their other literary writings.The chapter three has something to do with the art of persuasion skills. All the persuasion skills such as the rhetoric, combination of reason and passion, consideration of the timing, continuous persuasion and the other skills, reached a very superb level. It could be clearly see that persuasion skills in Tang Dynasty had been accordance with the process and laws in influence psychology and persuasion psychology.The fourth chapter has a conclusion that Suggestion writings in Tang Dynasty inspired the modern secretarial works. Suggestion writings played an important role in providing consultant which is also important in the modern secretary works. Analysing the successful and failure Suggestion writings, the proper information quantities, the choice of persuasion skills and avoiding private affairs are very useful and important.The study of Suggestion writings in Tang Dynasty is a part of the study of the official writings, a complement of the study of stylistic, and also has significant positive meanings to the modern secretarial works.
