This is a thesis of Chaohu dialectal grammar on perfective aspect. The system of the markers of perfective aspect in Chaohu dialect is different from Mandarin. The marker of perfective aspect in mandarin is"le", but in Chaohu dialect there are two corresponding grammatical forms"zhe"and"de". They can be used together to form"de·zhe". The paper will systematically analyze and comprehensively investigate the markers of perfective aspect in Chaohu dialect by way of description and comparison on the basis of existing research.Chapter one is an introduction. It will simply introduce the Humane geographical situation of Chaohu and the profiles of Chaohu dialect, then display the significance of the topic, research methods about this issue, the previous studies and the content of the study. At last, it will show the source of dialect corpus and related style.Chapter two will analyze the syntactic and semantic features of the markers of perfective aspect in Chaohu dialect. At the same time, we will prove that dichotomy of"le"is rational on the analysis of"V/A+le"in Chaohu dialect.Chapter three will make a comparison of the markers of perfective aspect between Chaohu dialect and Mandarin in order to find out the similarities and differences between them.Chapter four will compare the difference between"zhe"and"de"on the syntactic distribution, grammatical meaning, the choice of predicate, the order of co-occurrence and the negative form.Chapter five will prove that the co-existence between general perfective aspect markers and negative ones is quite popular on the investigation of perfective aspect markers in Southern dialect.Chapter six will sum up the content of this research, list several innovative points and enumerate a number of linguistical phenomena which need deeper exploration.
