Research On The Historical Evolvement Of Four Semantic Fields Rooted In Chinese Perfect Aspect Verbs

Perfective aspect is a very important lower type of aspect categories. Chinese perfective aspect system includes four expression forms: perfect aspect verb, perfective adverbs, perfective aspect marker and perfective modal particle.Chapter one introduces the background, significance of this topic, and the research theory and method. Chapter two introduces the historical envolvement of “????????????? ” in the perfect verbs semantic field. Chapter three introduces the historical envolvement of perfective adverbs “? ” and “? ”. Chapter four introduces the origin and historical envolvement of perfective aspect marker “? ” and “? ”. Chapter five introduces the perfective modal particle “? ” and “? ”.The conclusions are: 1.The four expressionforms of perfective aspect system including six grammar types form a grammaticalized cline: perfect aspect verb>(perfective adverbs)>result complement>phase complement>perfective aspect marker>perfective modal particle. 2.Some perfect aspect verbs follow a same grammaticalized path, we call it “parallel evolvoment”.Somefollow different ways due to different meaning and sentence construction. The grammaticalion of perfect aspect verb is the result of the meaning of verbs' mutally influencion of its sentence construction.3. There are relationships between the seveal perfective expression forms.
