Shandong Dialect Verb To Complete The Body

This thesis examines the perfective aspect in Shandong dialect systematically on the basis of the investigation to the diverse representations of the perfective aspect of the verbs and syntactic structures in Shandong dialect by way of description and comparasion.The thesis consists of the following three sections.The introduction reviews the previous studies on the aspect in Mandarin Chinese and the grammatical studies in Shandong dialect. In the following part, it gives the working definition on aspect and aspect marker and defines the perfective aspect of the verbs in Shandong dialect as well.The last part of the introduction elaborates the significance and approach of this study.Section 2 describes the perfective aspect of the verbs in Shandong dialect in detail.In terms of the differences among the phonological forms and usages of "了"and its variants "喽" and "啦". Besides the lexical items "了", "啦", "喽" used to express perfective, phonological devices as retroflexion, tone sandhi, length and strength can also be used in Shandong dialect, which is peculiar in the representations of the verbal perfective aspect among the dialects of Chinese.Section 3 analyses the grammaticalization of the perfective aspect markers in Shandong dialect and the internal correlations of them.
