Investigation Of Ancient Bridges In Taizhou Area And Strengthening Of Typical Ancient Bridges

The ancient bridge, as the entity of the ancient works, is a precious legacy ofnon-renewable historic resources. Some ancient bridges have undergone the operation for acentury,there is a certain damage more or less. It is urgently required to study and protect theancient bridge in Taizhou area.In this paper, by analyzing the information of existing ancient bridge in Taizhou area,combined with the typical ancient bridges, we elaborated on the type and distribution, culturalcharacteristics and construction features of the ancient bridge in Taizhou area; we analyzedthe current situation of the ancient bridge had been preserved in Taizhou area, further studythe environment of the ancient bridges and their impact mechanism. By analyzing the typicaldamage modes for ancient bridges in Taizhou area we investigate the causes of these diseases.Take Taishan bridge, a typical representative of the ancient stone arch bridge in Taizhou areafor example, the finite element analysis (FEA) software has been used to analysis space forcecharacteristics to exploring stress mechanism of similar stone arch bridge, and a theoreticalbasis and practical reference proposal have been provided for the stone ancient bridge diseaseanalysis and reinforced protection. For different disease of the ancient bridge in Taizhou area,we elaborate the principle and contend of ancient bridge protection, and propose protectivetreatment methods and the method of structural reinforcement for ancient bridge; Take Sunjiabridge for example, by analyzing the instance of reinforced ancient bridge, practicalrecommendations of the preservation and restoration have been proposed for the ancientbridge.In this paper, we have carried out detailed investigations and research about history,culture, structural characteristics and damage status of ancient bridges, by further researching,some methods and measures have been proposed, this helps to protect the ancient bridge inTaizhou area better more effective, the study has important consultation and reference valueon ancient bridges protection and repair in Taizhou area and similar cities in China.
