From East To West: Wang Tao Classical Chinese Novel In The Foreign Cultural Imagination

Wang Tao who was born in PuLi ,where the many famous writers had lives off or just off,was scholar important and politicians in the late Qing. Wang Tao's novels are very important in the classical Chinese novel history of late Qing dynasty and valuable to study distinctive. Scholars most focused on Wang Tao's mainly on his lifetime,thought, cause etc,but scattered to his literary works .Consequently, the paper takes Wang Tao'sclassical Chinese novels as research subjects and his exotic atmosphere as the breakthrough point, is grasping the the romantic imagination of exotic image and realized thoughts of native image.This paper is divided into three parts, namely, introduction, text and conclusion. Introduction comprehensively outlines the present research situation of Wang Tao's novel. It recapitulates exotic atmosphere of his classical Chinese novel and significance of the research, the overview of Wang Tao's novel research,main contents and angle of this paper.Text is divided into three chapters. The first chapter, takes Wang Tao's experience and friedeship as the creative background, see exotic cultural formation and the exotic otherness's emotion recognition of late Qing literatus; Second chapter focuses primarily on specific exotic features in classical Chinese novels of Wang Tao, expresses specific exotic feeling, reposing consciousness and survey-society consciousness; The third chapter, majorly expoundes the unique image of exotic women which has been described in classical novels of Wang Tao, see exotic women how to be writed and variated from his pen, explores the similarities and differences of the exotic women image under different cultural background.All in all, on the basis of the current relevant research of his classical Chinese novels, the paper focuses on Foreign Culture and exotic features, similarity and differences between these foreign women under different cultural backgrounds.
