Comparative studies can explore the internal spiritual relationship between the painters'works from a new angle, which can help us understand their works and the ideas of the two artists.Based on the theory of psychoanalysis and the image, this article explores psychological areas of Klimt and the Munch, seeking for a better interpretation of the work of Klimt and Munch. By doing this, the article not only just to master the technique of their paintings, but also try to understand the implied spirits behind the painting.This article makes analysis of the sustenance of life in Klimt's and Munch's art and cultural values and symbol and metaphor in their works through juxtaposing and comparison. After having a look at the two so-called "scandals", we can have the knowledge of their social background and life experiences.
