The famous Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who was born in Salzburg in 1756 is considered as the greatest music wizard and is also entitled by'the music child prodigy'. Recognized as one of the representatives of Viennese Classical Music, Mozart together with Haydn and Beethoven are three consummate craftsmen in the Classical Era. Opera was the main stream of Mozart's music and during his thirty-five-year short life, twenty-two operas were composed. In a letters, he wrote that'For me, operas are prior to any others.'Mozart not only carried forward Kruger's revolution on operas but also developed his style of operas with unique artistic feathers. His music profoundly reflects the spirit of his era. Both elegancy and joyousness were endowed in his works, but meanwhile sadness was also envolved.The word'Koloratur'which denotes the ornamental phrases with elaborate melody was originated from German and is widely used in instrumental music and vocal music. Coloratura riff first appeared in Gregorian chant and was developed to its peak by Castratos in the 17th and 18th century. Since then, Coloratura becomes an indispensable important component in bel canto. Coloratura soprano is one kind of soprano voice, which is light and flexible with beautifully bright timbre and elasticity. Its range is often as high as g3 and is usually suitable for singing in vocal music works with many other coloratura cadenza of singing skills such as rapid syllables run, quickly jump tone and vibrato. With the flexible, clean and beautiful timbre, the fascinating and airy Coloratura skills and the superb super high Cadenza, Coloratura soprano is distinguished among various voices.There are only several Coloratura soprano arias among Mozart's works. However, the existing ones are all excellent works which have handed down for more than two hundred years. The four Coloratura soprano arias discussed in this dissertation are cited from <Die Entführung aus dem Serail> and <Die Zauberfl(?)te>, respectively, which are written in German by Mozart and occupies an important position in the history of his creation of the Opera. <Die Entführung aus dem Serail> was his first German opera, from which a new millennium of local opera in Germany was created. <Die Zauberfl(?)te> was his last but an epitomized work. This work was credited as'The spiritual wealth of German'and brought him great glory.This dissertation is divided into four chapters: Chapter 1 summarizes Mozart's life and his Mozart opera creation. In this chapter, in order to guarantee readers have a preliminary understanding to Mozart himself and his creative career of the opera, a review of Mozart's life, brief history of the Opera and Mozart's Opera creation will be stated. In Chapter 2, the background, the skeleton of the story line and characteristics as well as significance of <Die Entführung aus dem Serail> and <DieZauberfl(?)te> will be introduced, respectively. In Chapter 3 and Chapter 4, the analysis of classical coloratura soprano aria for the aforementioned operas will be proposed. First, descriptions of coloratura and coloratura will be given through citing common coloratura singing skills. A brief overview of its training methods will also be involved. Second, three aspects of the two classical coloratura soprano arias in the Operas, i.e. the characters, musical structure and of singing skills will be analyzed. By combining collected materials and the singer's understanding and interpretation, the characteristics of Mozart's music and singing style will be investigated, which will deepen the research on vocal music theoretical study and make up for deficiencies in the theory such that the artistic value of the Mozart's works will be cognized properly.
