Language aptitude is one of the most important factors which cause individual differences in the second language acquisition. This thesis focuses on the research that how do the TCFL teachers apply the studies of language aptitude to improve teaching quality in teaching process.With the development of China's economy and the strengthening of international communication, the numbers of foreign students that come to China has been increased year by year. Based on the results from language aptitude test, TCFL teachers can adopt orientated measures in hierarchical teaching, which will be influential in promoting the result of TCFL over the world.The methodology of his thesis is the analysis of cases. The experimenters are the foreign students of Hunan University whose mother tongue is English. The study carries on through the MLAT test designed by Carroll aiming on testing students'phonetic coding ability, grammatical sensitivity, inductive learning ability and rote learning ability, hoping to analyze the differences of students in language aptitude. And with the background of the study on the differences of language aptitude, the different class teaching and teaching according to the student's ability will enhance the teaching efficiency and the study of TCFL. In Chapter one, there is mainly an introduction on the realistic meaning of the language aptitude on TCFL, and the theoretical background and basis of language aptitude. In Chapter two, the researcher depicts the logic of the experiment and the design of the test. In Chapter three, the researcher describes the course and the result of the experiment in full-length, and Chapter four is the discussion. At last, in chapter five, there is the conclusion of the experiment, and the researcher proposes the prospect on further study.
