Marx points out that an actor is an artist for the audience but a laborer for the capitalist. He argues that the identity of an artist is dualized by the industrialization of art. As an outstanding artist, by creating remarkable musical works not only did Mozart cultivate the cultural mind of his contemporary but also carried the cultural tradition and spirit of human kind in perspective of the transmission of civilization. It will be perpetuated with the development of human society. However, as a laborer of art and creator of cultural and spiritual product, Mozart took the responsibility to process and to represent the social information with musical symbols, to refine the social and cultural information in the history with music and play, to carry forward the imperishable cultural heritage and spirit of art. Therefore, composer Mozart existed as a milestone in cultural and musical circles with dual cultural identities whether enjoying great reputation in his period or having eternal glory until now. His contribution was with an ineffaceable diachronic and synchronic significance in human history.Taking the dual-identity (musical and cultural identity, social and cultural identity) as a research target under guidance of dialectical thinking in Marx's artistic theory, the author discusses the relationship between musical cultural identity and social cultural identity in Mozart's operas, in which Mozart's classical work "The Marriage of Figaro" is researched as a typical example. The social status of Mozart and specific social context are also discussed in this thesis.
