The Narrative Rhetoric Of Death In "Nie Zi"

"Nie Zi"is the first novel which has homosexual theme in contemporary literature history of China. This thesis makes a study of the dead perspective of "nie zi",based on the relevant rhetorical theory, and analyzes the rhetorical devices and narrative structure of the death in the novel, particularly the symbolic significance of two death image about the " father " and "child" and the rhetorical intent of the author. By the prototype theory, this thesis researches writing consciousness of Bai Xianyong and the aesthetic impact of death on readers by empathy. Finally, this article discusses the differences between the novel and teleplay in death rhetoric.
