This paper is a record and analysis of Yulin dialect's speech sounds, basing on linguistic knowledge and dialectal survy. There is an introduction and five chapters in it. The introduction is about Yulin's location, administration and dialects, and gives information to the fininshed research on the Yulin dialect, telling this paper's object and aim. The first chapter introduces the Yulin dialect's initial consonants, simple or compound vowels and tones, and gives a form of all the syllables. The second chapter is an syllabary of homophones. The third chapter compares the Yulin dialect's syllables with that of ancient Chinese which recorded in Guang Yun. The fourth chapter describes the sound change phenomena in Yulin dialect, including tone sandhi and diminutives. The paper intends to introduce the Yulin dialect's speech sounds and provide comprehensive phonetic materials to support the research on the Yulin dialect.
