Intuition is a method of cognition that corresponds to intellect. Intuition is non-logical,does not focus on knowledge reasoning. Intuition and image thinking, logical thinking are belong to three basic ways of human being's thinking, the study intuition has been not enough, especially compared to other ways. When rationalism increasingly developed, people began to realize that many problems can not just be solved by intellect, so they began to pay attention to intuition.Chinese scholars started to pay attention to the concept of intuition after affected by non-rationalism of Western influence. Intuitive way of thinking has resonated with much the Chinese philosophy thoughts in many ways, for this reason that many scholars in China pay attention to intuition. Although the word "intuition" never exists in the Chinese philosophy, China's intuitive thinking is extremely rich. Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism all have their intuitive thinking. Xiong's intuitive thinking is affected by both traditional Chinese philosophy and Western irrationalism, so it's very original.Xiong is committed to re-establish Noumenon, in fact, he want to find a position for the Chinese philosophy. First of all, Xiong's intuitive thinking based on the basis of distinction between Science and Metaphysics, Science and Metaphysics are two different ways, and then the research method should also be emphasized. Scientific knowledge is divided into numerous parts, analyzed each part to get the truth; metaphysical aspects from the big, hoping to get the truth that can use at everything. We can not say which method is more reasonable; they all have their own strengths, so we can only according to the contest of the research to select the proper methods. First, Xiong's philosophy is based on the differences between science and metaphysical. Science focused on rational and metaphysical focuses on intuition, Xiong use the concept "intuition" and "intellect" to express. Secondly, the process of use "intuition" to study metaphysics is to use "intuition" to "back to the Noumenon" process. Xiong left room for both science and the Chinese philosophy, through the distinction between "intuition" and "intellect". Xiong intuitive thinking has a great influence on later philosophy. Xiong's achievement on Confucianism, his own way to doing things, his efforts to teach more and more students to work on traditional Chinese philosophy,it's all have a lot of affects on New-Confucianism Seventies of last century, the New-Confucianism had a re-development opportunities after experiencing a slump. The mark of the re-development is the republished of "Letter to the World of Chinese culture alive for the Universal Declaration" in 1985; the Declaration is an outline of the contemporary Neo-Confucian works. The Declaration, drafted by Tang Junyi, Mu Zongsan, Xu Fuguan, and Zhang Junli co-created together, of which three of the four are Xiong's students. Second, Xiong is known as one of the most original one in Chinese philosophy history, the original system of philosophy and the independent attitude of research have a profound impact on the philosophy.
