The "Desk Play" is the special product of the literary trend of early Qing dynasty, it also is the unique literary phenomenon of drama creation in this period. It is a kind of literary form between poems and articles. But it weakens the script's dramatics and the stage's performativity. It is melt the lyricism of poetry, the narratives of drama and two-way endorsement as one, which has the distinctive and desk tendency. The stylistic form, which mainly pays attention to the writer's personal feeling and willing to drama, also shows the writer's personalized pursuit of the plots and events of the drama. Obviously, the writer's emotion is expressed by the format of drama. Although this form of drama ultimately is unsuccessfully in maturity and independence, it also had been successful for a short time, and produced a large number of outstanding writers, who created a large number of outstanding works. Among them, Wu WeiYe is a representative. But finally this situation also "did not go through the road of style evolution." However, for the process to the development of Chinese ancient literature, and the whole development process of drama, the function of the efforts and practice in the drama made by the dramatist of this period can not be ignored,which is worthy of our research, exploration and summarized.Except the introduction and epilogue, the whole thesis is divided into four chapters:the introduction is about the definition of "Desk Play "and the composition of the authors and the situation of this thesis's current research. The first chapter describes the background of the society and literature of early Qing dynasty, which specifically explains the influence and construct to the text of "Desk drama" and its writers. Chapter 2 mainly discusses the choice of subject and retrofit to the "Desk drama". The third chapter summarizes and discusses the three artistic features of the "Desk play". Chapter four and chapter five is basically about the research on the representatives of "Desk drama" " if early Qing dynasty. At last, chapter 6 makes a fair and objective evaluation for "Desk drama".
