Study On The Costumes Of The Cao Wei Dynasty

This paper mostly investigates the costumes of Caowei Dynasty, from historical angles, using archaeology data. The data mostly is from the sepulture which excavated from 1960s till this day,170 people in all. And the paper significantly studies the costumes of the person, who are on the fresco as funerary objects in the sepulture.Firstly, the paper discusses the basic instance of the costumes. Compared picture to literature, it will study certain costumes from historical data. First, the basic modality of female costumes. It includes two styles, shirt skirt and long gown. Meanwhile, hair styles and accouterment also are parts of female costumes. Second, the basic modality of male costumes. Such as female costumes, it also includes two styles. And, the crown and the headband are the other parts of male costumes.Secondly, the paper expatiate the classified research on costumes of Caowei Dynasty. According as the collected data, it will dissertates the classification in upper-class and underclass.,expatiate briefly the deference of the costumes between upper-class and underclass. Meanwhile, it will explain the reason. The upper-class is the part of the ruling class, and they are the masters of the sepulture. The characteristic of costumes is large, include the long gown and shirt-skirt. While refer to the underclass, their characteristic of costumes is short and narrow.Finally, the paper expatiate the historical significant of the costumes. The costumes of caowei dynasty serve as a link between past and future.On one hand, the costumes of Cowei Dynasty inherit and change the dynasty of Han dynasty. On the other hand, the costumes of Caowei Dynasty open up the elegant taste of the costumes of Jin Dynasty.
