Mandarin and Tibetan language, as tone language, belong to Sino-Tibetan language family. Tone is an important feature of Mandarin and a core of Chinese speech. The thesis object is Tsang Dialect Area, in which most of the local Tibetans can speak Chinese, but not too standard or authentic and there are still many people speak Mandarin with local dialect and features of a strong national language.For speech errors among Lhasa Tibetan students, previous researches focused on the static studies of tone. On the basis of previous achievements, drawing out 10 Lhasa Tibetan college students'pronunciation swatch as the object, this thesis studies the acoustic features of Mandarin mono-syllable tone and bi-syllable tone by means of analysis methods in Experimental Phonetics and sampling methods.Firstly we study acoustic characteristics of Lhasa Tibetan tones among Lhasa Tibetan college students by means of experimental methods and T value method which is proposed by Shi Feng and using sound analysis software-Wavefinal and statistical tools-Excel, and then compare the tone pattern of mono-syllable tone among students with that of Beijing dialect; Secondly based on 16 types of tone combinations we analyze type of tone of the bi-syllable tones to decide the tone values of various tone combinations of bi-syllable tones, and we also compare this with Beijing dialect. Finally we manage to find out the reasons of Lhasa Tibetan students'errors in pouncing mono-syllable tone and bi-syllable tone, respectively, and propose relevant teaching strategies. The main results of this thesis are as follows: When learning mono-syllable tones, Lhasa Tibetan college students is almost right with the tonal type of the first tone and fourth tone, while the second tone and third tone is wrong, and the relative pitch of Mandarin tone is worse; the pronunciation of bi-syllable tone is worse than that of mono-syllable tone, indicating that Lhasa Tibetan students have difficulties in mastering the combination of dynamic tones; what's more, the second tone and fourth tone are easily confused by Lhasa students, which is the key problem for them.
