A Study On Chinese Folk Characters In A Japanese Ancient Manuscript Baiershiyongshizhu

Liqiao'baieryongshizhu is the basic young learning bibliography widely spread in the noble in the middle of Heian period. It contents liqiao's baiershiyongwushi and the zhangtingfang's note. At present ,the earliest hand copied book is the written book in Muromachi period hidden in the Japanese keio university. This book contains many folk characters and it reflects the situation of using the characters in certain period and records the fact that Chinese folk characters spreads in Japan. It is a highly developing period of folk characters in Japan between the end of Kamakura period and Muromachi period. Shizhu is undoubted an important material to study the language contact.This research uses the baiershiyongwu's hand copied book as the linguistic materials which is written in Muromachi period. The folk character is the object of the whole research. There are mainly six aspects as the classification to do research : Fuhao daiti, PianBang genghuan, zengfan, JianSheng and so on .Through the statistics and classify of the folk characters in baiershiyongwu, comparing the past dynasties'dictionaries in China and Japan, we have a clear systematic research about the folk characters. From inheritance and variation, we explore the situation of the Japanese folk characters inherit the Chinese characters and discuss the inheritance and variation of Chinese character in Japanese language backgrounds.As to the difference of character pattern between Japanese folk character and Chinese folk character, we use the theory of folk character and take several characters as example to analysis, then discusses the attitude of Japan treating the Chinese characters, indicating inheritance variation patterns that the Chinese folk character in Japan.This paper's new idea is extending the view of research to the Overseas. The folk character is the object of the whole research. Through the comprehensive analysis and investigation, comparing the past dynasties'dictionaries in China and Japan, this paper reveals some features of folk character spreading, and supports the reseach of Chinese and Japanese folk characters, it has certain reference value.
