Markers are independent of sentences, with no conceptual meaning on its own,exerting no influence on the truth value of the utterance, meanwhile, contributingnothing new to the propositional content. However, in the process of discourse,markers are of crucial significant in the cohesion of structure and the expression ofemotions, thus functioning as indispensable parts of discourse. Recently, Scholarshave been paying more attention to the theoretical studies on markers, thus, inspiredby former studies, this thesis intends to analyze the intermediary Russian InternationalStudents'Acquisition of Markers in Subjective Emotional Chinese Discourse on thebasis of a large amount of their oral speech data.The first chapter introduces relevant studies and theories concerning discoursemarkers, the source of speech data, and the methodology.The second chapter systematically elaborates on the nature, composition,classification, and formation of discourse markers, laying a theoretical foundation forthe analysis and description of acquisition studies.The third chapter analyzes in detail the acquisition of Markers in SubjectiveEmotional Chinese Discourse by those Russian international students who have anintermediary level in the Chinese language and its traits in different stages, with anintention to explore the subtle changes in acquisition.The fourth chapter presents the inspiration of the current study by providingpertinent advice to TCFL textbook compiling and classroom teaching, hoping tocontribute something to the field of TCFL.
