Piao Rongjun lived in North Korea under the colonial domination of Japanese imperialism. As a literature creator, he boasts thorough mission awareness concerning literature, creating literature works with sincere attitude. The reason why Piao Rongjun's literature works are said to be of reality is that he takes much count of personal practice in daily life as well as the process of creating works. He takes his personal practice as the writing material, factually describing the real and poor life of peasants and reflecting country life of Korea, thoughts and consciousness of Korean peasants at that time. This paper is focused on Piao Rongjun's novels written in the period of Manchukuo. It explores again the theme of Piao Rongjun's novels, his consciousness tendency and Japanolatry thoughts, creation characteristics and impact on the literary history through applying the criticism method of social history. This paper consists of four parts. The prologue mainly expounds the author's creation career, research purposes and research methods as well as antecedent research status and so on.The main body mainly refers to the analysis on the subject consciousness of Piao Rongjun's novels. It is divided into two parts. One is related to the consciousness of social criticism and Japanolatry thoughts in Piao Rongjun's novels, the other one is about the embodied peasant consciousness.Firstly, this paper clarifies the tendency of Japanolatry in Piao Rongjun's novels through the analysis on five novels including Hand Prosthesis, Place without Flower, Hophead, Slur, and Woman in the Jungle.Thereinto, the short novel, Hand Prosthesis, reflects the gloomy social reality under the rule of Japanese imperialism by describing the morbid psychology of a disabled intellectual, Place without Flower represents the corruption of local officials at that time, Hophead mirrors that no matter how hard common people try, they could not live an ease life under the rule of Japanese imperialism, which depicts the society of the period. The full-length novel, Slur, touches upon the irrational phenomenon of ideality and reality, monetary charm and unhealthy tendency, and the pursuit of real life. The last one, Woman in the Jungle is evaluated as the work with "Anti-communist Idea" raised by both of Japanese imperialism and Manchukuo at that time. This paper emphatically elaborates peasant consciousness in Piao Rongjun's novels via four peasant novels including Model Cultivator, It's Time to Sow Cottonseeds, Noodle Restaurant, and Rat Hole. The part of conclusion makes a summary of the full text. On the whole, most of Piao Rongjun's preliberation works take the rural area of 1930's as the background, sharply seeing through the social phenomenon of the period, factually demonstrating the sufferings and miserable situation of Korean peasants, and country reality under the colonial domination of Japanese imperialism and coercion policy at that time, truly reflecting the thoughts and resistance consciousness of peasants, embodying the author's concern on the rural area and peasants. So to speak, Piao Rongjun's peasant novels belong to r eal peasant novels.
