Social skills and emotion regulation have been two major issues that resea-rchers concern. Since the Mid-1980s,research about the youth's social skill is gradually on the rise. Emotion regulation involves the cognition and behavior o f it and so on. The cognitive style is the most important one of emotion regul ation. It is the individual who adapts to the inside and outside enviroment and emotion dysregulation. Research at home and abroad shows that social skills and emotion regulation are closely related to mental health, personality and int erpersonal relationships. Whether the higher social skills and positive emotion r egulation are related to a person's study, life and mind means if they can mak e healthy-overall progress. However, domestic research on social skills and emo tion regulation is almostly all ordinary college student as subjects and isn't col lege students addicted to internet game. The college students addicted to intern etgame are very vulnerable to social skills and emotion dysregulationIn view of the role and significance of social skills and emotion regulation, the experimental and questionaire approachs to the relationship on social skills and emotion regulation of college students who were addicted to internet games were studied. Specifically:studyⅠ, using Riggio's SSI,examined the social skills of college students addicted to internet games; StudyⅡ, using Garnifski's CERQ-C, examined the cognitive emotion regulation of college students addicted to internet games,the connection of social skills and it; StudyⅢ, using 2 subjects(internet game addiction group/non-internet addiction group)×3 emotion pictures(positive emotion/neutral emotion/negative emotion) expermental design, using variance analysis, In different emotional context, examined the correct response rate and average response.The results indicated that:In social skills, internet game addiction group and non-internet addiction group have significant difference, the addiction group was significantly lower than the non-addiction group. In cognitive emotion regulation, internet game addiction group and non-internet addiction group have no significant difference, but positive emotion regulation including positive reappraisal, putting into perspective and so on. and negative emotion regulation including blaming others, catastrophizing were significant difference. Internet game addicts tend to choose more negative emotion regulation, non-internet addicts perferred to choose positive emotion regulation.In view of the accuracy of emotional sensitivity reaction to different emotion. Internet game addiction group scored significantly lower than that of non-internet addiction group.For negative emotion, the two groups had significant difference. Meanwhile, for emotion sensitivity to negative emotional reaction time, there was significant difference between internet game addiction group and non-internet addiction group. The average response time of game addiction group was longer than that of non-internet addiction.
