The early twentieth century, The United States had a far-reaching humanist movement, and the leader of this movement is the Irving·Babbitt (Irving Babbitt) and Paul·Moore (Paul More). Although the movement is the flash in the pan, its influence is far-reaching and profound.one of the leaders——Irving·Babbitt is controversial figure in particular. Irving Babbitt's Humanism involves the political, educational, cultural, religious, moral, cultural and other fields, the key words of his ideology-"internal checks and balances", "dualism", "higher will", " standards "and other contemporary scholars, has become the focus of Modern academic research. In order to distinguish between Renaissance humanism and humanism, Many scholars are inclined to call the Babbitt's Humanism the "New Humanism", but some scholars have held a negative opinion. This article is based on the identification and inner relation between "humanism", "new humanism "and" humanitarian ", then tried to clarify the real meaning of Babbitt's Humanism. In this paper, study from Babbitt's life experiences, from Babbitt himself to his ideology, from the source of his ideology to the ideological core, from its core ideas to the contemporary influence and radiation of his thoughts, then try to re-illuminate Babbitt's Humanism from these three-dimensional degrees. As in many areas related to Babbitt's humanism, but this article is to discuss the ideas in literature, education, and even cultural aspects of religious practice and development, so as to construct out of Babbitt's humanism and cultural criticism..
