Modeling Analysis Of Shanxi Shadow Play

From the angles of the folklore and fine arts, this paper discusses the modeling of Shanxi shadow play from four aspects:the concept foundation, regional spread and development; the cultural connotation and image features; the artistic form and technique of expression; the aesthetic value and its reference significance.First of all, the author briefly introduced the origin, manufacture technology, history and regional spread of Shaanxi shadow play; and discussed its concept foundation and the state of development from the aspects of both folklore and folk art. After investigating and sorting out the related literature, the author also analyzed the culture connotation with folk-custom, dramatic and fine arts of Shanxi shadow play, and its decorative features and artistry system; then elaborated the national brand and ornamental characteristic from molding, color and the assembly images, and also the folkloric aesthetic dimensions it conveys. Finally, from the aspects of national and artistic essence of Shanxi shadow play, this paper exposited its utility and aesthetic value of art to satisfy the public's spiritual demand, the national culture and tradition reflected, as well as the unique artistic style offering the enlightenment and reference significance for contemporary artistic creation.
