Individual difference is an eye-catching subject of education. It begins with personalized teaching, which tries to find out deep causes of individual differences among different ages, personalities, social and cultural backgrounds, etc, then sort out some suitable teaching strategies and methods to meet these individual differences reflected in language aptitudes, emotions, motivations, learning styles, learning strategies and methods. The study of learning styles is a better way to study individual differences. What English-teaching theory of humanism has stressed is that language learners are"persons"of complicated learning characteristics, so language learning must be person-oriented and the study of learning style based on learning process is a vital manifestation of what it emphases. This study focuses on three major subjects: learning styles, learning processes and English achievements. It will help learners find out their characteristics of learning styles and learning process, and be aware of the relationship among learning styles, learning processes and English achievements, so they can develop their learning styles or learning processes to improve their weakness in English learning. On the other hand, it will help teachers consider learners'personal differences of learning styles and features in English learning processes when they organize class and use teaching strategies.The study is conducted to probe into participants'learning style preference, learning process preference, English achievements trend and relations among them by the combination method of quantitative and qualitative research. The data are collected in three ways: Structured questionnaire of learning style inventory, Structured questionnaire of learning process inventory and English scores inquiry. The collected data are analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis and Pearson correlation analysis to find out participants'learning style preference, learning process preference, English achievements trend and correlations among them. With the supplement of interview as a method of qualitative research, the impacts on English achievements by learning styles and learning process are discussed.The results indicate that the participants are mostly inclined to tactile style and phase of Concrete Experience, their best English achievement is reading. In the further study, it was discovered that tactile and kinesthetic styles are related positively with both Abstract Conceptualization and Active Experimentation; spoken English achievements are related positively with group, kinesthetic styles and Concrete Experience, Active Experimentation; listening achievements are related positively with auditory style, Abstract Conceptualization and Reflective Observation; grammar achievements are positively related with visual, individual style and Abstract Conceptualization; reading achievements are positively related with visual style and Reflective Observation, while they are related negatively with group style; writing achievements are related positively with visual, tactile styles and Active Experimentation, Reflective Observation. At last, according to the effect on learning achievements imposed by learning styles and learning processes, the author proposed pedagogical suggestions.
